Department of Dental Diseases and Treatment; It is a branch of science that aims to provide the form, function and aesthetics of the teeth by treating the tissue losses in the tooth structure due to caries, trauma and various anomalies with different filling materials, as well as preventive dentistry practices by taking preventive measures against caries. Reasons for filling a tooth: To eliminate tissue loss due to caries etc., to prevent the progression and resumption of caries, to prevent functional and aesthetic disorders. Different filling materials can be used according to the indication. These are amalgam, composite resin, compomer, resin modified glass ionomer. In parallel with the developments in adhesive technology, ‘aesthetic dentistry applications’ can be performed within the department.
To provide high quality didactic and clinical education to the students of our faculty who are studying within the discipline of contemporary conservative dentistry and to educate all graduated dentists for life boat sustainability with post-graduate education programmes.
