The Horizon Europe Programme’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie International Fellowships and Research Grants (MSCA) aim to strengthen human potential in the fields of research and technology in terms of both quality and quantity, to support the career development of researchers, to encourage international and cross-sectoral researcher mobility, and thereby to make Europe and Turkey a centre of attraction for researchers. The MSCA strand, which falls under the Horizon Europe Programme and for which TÜBİTAK is responsible for national coordination, offers innovative and excellent research training opportunities; attractive career and knowledge-sharing prospects; and international and cross-sectoral mobility programmes, thereby providing a framework that enables researchers to collaborate in their chosen research fields.
On 15–16 April 2026, an information conference will be held with the participation of the European Commission and TARAL stakeholders regarding the calls listed below:
• The Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowships (MSCA PF) 2026 call will be opened by the European Commission on 9 April 2026 and will close on 9 September 2026. This call, which aims to promote the international, interdisciplinary and inter-institutional mobility of researchers holding a PhD, is designed to support their career development. Individual project applications are supported across all research fields, with no subject restrictions.
• The Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2026 call will also open on 28 May 2026 and close on 24 November 2026. This call aims to train researchers who have not yet obtained their PhD (PhD candidates) through project proposals covering innovative research areas without any subject restrictions.
• The Horizon Europe Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Staff Exchanges 2026 call is due to close shortly, whilst the 2027 call will open on 15 December 2026 and close on 15 April 2027. Under the Exchange Programme, the aim is to facilitate the transfer of knowledge, technology and experience across sectors and countries through the exchange of research, technical and administrative staff between Turkey and countries within and outside Europe.
As part of the calls to be launched in 2026, the ‘MSCA Calls Conference’, organised annually by TÜBİTAK National Contact Points, will take place physically in two separate cities this year as part of the ‘Marie Skłodowska Curie International Fellowships and Research Grants 30th Anniversary Events’.
• Wednesday, 15 April 2026 – TÜBİTAK Headquarters, Feza Gürsey Conference Hall, Ankara
• Thursday, 16 April 2026 – Boğaziçi University, Albert Long Hall (ALH), Istanbul
At the conferences, the agendas for which are attached, a representative from the European Commission – Research Executive Agency (REA) will provide direct information and answer questions; success stories from researchers who have achieved success in previous calls will be presented; and experts who have served as evaluators in MSCA evaluation processes will share their experiences. Information will also be provided on TÜBİTAK’s MSCA support programmes, National Contact Point services and the EURAXESS network.
The event will be conducted in English. Participation is free of charge, but registration via the link https://ufukavrupa.org.tr/tr/form/horizon-europe-msca-registration-form is mandatory. Travel and accommodation expenses for participants cannot be covered.
I respectfully request that you ensure these conferences are communicated to the universities affiliated with your institution and that any queries are directed to ncpmobility@tubitak.gov.tr.
